Harness racing in Tasmania   Kirk Bourne, harness racing trainer in Tasmania

Kirk Bourne harness racing stables

In early 2010, I established my new training establishment at Chudleigh in Northern Tasmania.

After many years as a successful hobby trainer in Western Australia, I and my wife Brenda (also a former trainer and driver) moved to Mole Creek in 2007 to set up our bed and breakfast operation, Mole Creek Lodge. This 6 acre property offers very limited training opportunities so, in December 2009, we decided to purchase an established 21 acre training property at nearby Chudleigh, with a view to increasing our involvement in the harness racing industry, including the training of a small number of 'outside' horses.

After a few years off, Brenda's interest in harness racing has been rekindled and she has joined me in this new venture.
